Cool INC messages?

As i have been on many interesting reads i continue to see the growing use of INC messages in the form of a link*bright pink* This to me, is an interesting and fun way to show ur group what is coming. If anyone can reply and or send tell in game to me or Asheran. I would like to know how it is this works. PLz include a kinda detailed description of how to set it up. *dunce*
