Well, the lariat got nerfed, but the arc of pain now has a proc (CS4). It drops off one of the named in the temple of bertoxxulous (off oceangreen village). Don't remember which one it was. A wanderer in the northeast corridor.

Who cares about CS4. Nothing ever, ever, ever, ever stuns for me. It kinda pisses me off. Why put the proc there and have all mobs resist all the damn time /sigh
I mean it's aggro generating but if you are looking to stun, I dunno what to tell you.

Interestingly the ingame description of the lariat's proc has changed, but lucy's info on the spell itself hasn't. I should go try it and see....

just checked mine....no stun....inflicts up to 245 damage every 6 seconds

guess I can ditch this one!

don't !!! 245 damage DoT is grossly better than CS1 !!!! basically it takes two ticks to get the aggro of a CS1 so this proc won't have the "humpf!" of a stun proc ut it should have largely more aggro (assuming it doesn't last one or two ticks only).


edit: kumbaja has this spell (whip crack) with a description of a DoT (Inflicts up to 360 damage every six seconds.) but an effect of of stun+DD (Slot 1: Stun(1.5 sec) up to level 0 / Slot 2: Decrease Hitpoints by 161 @L1 to 240 @L80)... so you might test it to see if it generate stron aggro or not (since a& lvl 0 stun may not be effective to stun anything... but try it on a mob < lvl55 in case this is a transcription error of kumbaja). and check if it last one tick (a DD) or somes (a DoT).

245dd+stun != CS1. More like CS7 or so.

Still, 3ticks and the dot is doing more hate (645 vs 735). That's only if you don't proc back-to-back though, in which case the dot overwrites itself, and the dd/stun adds each time.

Eh. It's still a fucking gay looking weapon, and anything that ugly isn't an upgrade for anyone.

It still generates aggro, mate. I agree that it's worthless, and I miss my Bloodfrenzy terribly, but if the dmg lands it's something, and the resisted stun is worth something also. Wish there was a tashanian aug or the like, though......
