LDoN Frozen Nightmare raid.

OK, this is the LDoN Frozen Nightmare raid, which is supposed to drop the 35ac aug, and +5 2 hander dmg aug, according to rumour and one confirmed aug drop (in the person's magelo).

We did this last night and killed the final named, just as the timer ran out, which sucked.

4 1/2 day lockout on fail, assume the same for a win.

Okay, ideal people for this -

At least one cleric, or a good druid/shaman healer. Final named and one of others is pretty rough.

For every tank, you're going to need a reasonable healer or so. (Maybe one per 2 offtanks).

The trash hits for around 200-700 on a 3200 max shielding tank. Fairly gimp.

You'll get jumped on zone in. Clear the trash in the first room. Don't move north yet.

As soon as you move north, burn the trash in the vicinity, and keep heading north. Have any ae agro people ae agro'ing the goblins that spawn, as they hit for like 10-70 (yes really).

You're looking for two named, which are marked with red squares. One is a taskmaster, one is a raid leader. Kill them both and all the small goblins will depop. The nameds are gimp. Soloable by an anguish geared warrior/sk.

Everyone gather at the western named room and kill any trash which was attacking.

Clear south until you get to the room with the blue square. Inside the room will be some trash + one dark blue named (to 75). "a sundering sludge" will tether to that room, so pull all the trash out and then rush the named.

DPS him down. Once he dies, he will split into four mobs called "a severing sludge". Each mob will then split into four more ("a slippery sludge"), so kill one, then the four that spawn, then another one, then the four that spawn, etc.

Once all those mobs are dead, clear south and east. At the end of each junction (dead east, not east then south) where the green squares are marked will be 2 each of 'a chromatic bonewalker' or 'an icy bonewalker'. There are other skeletons mixed in, you can kill these, but some skeletons will respawn upon death.

You need to kill all the skeletons that don't respawn, and then kill the respawning skeletons until they are all red skeletons.

Once they are all red, dps them down to about 2-5% hp, then AE/single target nuke them all to death (or melee, whatever).

They need to die within a very short span of each other, then they will all despawn.

Once you have killed the skeletons, head east, then south, towards the red circle. The named there is permarooted, and has an AE, so keep everyone back and send in an FD/Fade puller (if you have one) to split the trash.

Kill the trash, then rush the named. DPS him down and kill the adds that spawn as you dps him. He will spawn the adds based on %, not time, so kill the adds before killing him preferably. You can just burn him down, succor and then split the adds if you prefer, whichever.

Head south after he dies, and clear down to the furthest SE room (Blue circle). There will be a corpse with a warder next to it. Gather your group, and hail the warder. Some mobs will attack. Burn them down before they can 'defile' her corpse.

After this, head back to the blue square room and have one person head to the room to your west and hail the guy standing there. This will trigger the last named.

Head north towards the green circle and engage the final named (he is huge, scarily so). He has a nasty proc and will TL you to a short distance away (think this has a memblur component). He has ~ 650k hitpoints, fire lands, magic is 50/50, didn't try cold.

There are also a couple of adds up, which you need to kill afterwards. I'm unsure if you need to hand in the drops from his body to Durgin or not, but regardless, the chest is nearby. Unlock it or beat it to death, and loot up.

Dura.

Did this one earlier tonight. Was kind of learning as we go, had a couple of wipes (named that spawned adds) I went LD several times, farking connection.

*edit* - I had

Warrior x 2
Cleric
Druid
SK
Wizard
Ranger
Zerker
Shaman bot
Enchanter

Later we lost the druid, sk and shaman bot and got a cleric bot, another sk and a bard bot.

We ran out of time just after we killed the final named and couldn't even loot the damn chest, which sucked.

If someone has access to evilgamer, feel free to post this there, I don't have posting rights.

This is the same instance for the 2.0 rogue epic (don't know if the loot table is the same).

Doubtful. My guild did one rogue 2.0 run with this zone and I don't think the loot tables are the same.

If anyone on Bertox is interested in doing this raid, I am definitely interesting in joining you. I am down to two reliable friends still playing, so there is no way I am getting it done on my own atm. I can bring a shaman bot and can have a cleric/ranger and druid help if needed.

Just posting this on the off-chance... that aug makes me all drooly.

Edit: And grats Kelefane!!

Recently went there with a group of good friends - in fact went tonight with a Ber Dru Enc Wiz Rog group (I was the 6th) and my thanks to Tunare and my friends, the aug after 2 years of searching where on earth it dropped from, finally dropped for me. It was pretty trivial with TSS gear, but still need to be careful with overpulls as enough in one pull can be a bit painful, even if in general they hit pretty weak compared to contemporary content.

I am now the proud and happy owner of:

It really is a dream come true to have finally made it, even if 175 AC is FnF +30 AC aug, I'm never going to replace my epic now, not unless something stupendous comes along. Anyways, I'm a bit buzzy about getting it now to get it for our tanks this weekend and onwards! They just need to be online, first :/

What level of gear do you guys think it will take to get this aug?

I'm assuming that it'll take raid gear to be able to do this mission with a single group. It seems like DPS is the biggest factor for success.

I know its not gonna be possible right now for me, I just want to know what level of gear the group and tanks needs to pull this off with a single group.
