This is good news, lack of group content in Velious means I doubt there will be many Fabled Velious mobs that could be killed by my guild and should also spread the Euro guilds thinner on AB so that some of the mobs might actually be alive by the end of European prime time.

Fabled are indeed on test although I would guess (hope) that the loot isn't finished yet hehe. Have only done some velks spiders and the named from the ry'gorr fort so far tho. Nothing interesting loot-wise but it was fun to go tear up some old zones. We were gonna try Tormax/Vindi/Statue and get smoked by the AoW last night but the test server was broken severely for most of the night.

Did happen to kill Fabled Lord BoB in Velks....was a bit of a PITA for a group and a half--we won, but he flurries like every second and is immune to slow...tried Fabled Velk--all i can say is ouch. Fabled Kelly in CS seemed pretty easy until the server went down, and was broken for the rest of the nite.

Granted these might be changed or updated before they make it to live.

I can't wait to have them up on live, it will be a blast to go back to the old zones and try some harder mobs. I just hope that my guilds sees it the same way as me and will want to take a short hiatus from demiplane and our other farms to do this.

Weapons, Shields and Robes are in bank, no Fabled Ivy Etched Tunic in Magelo so put non-Fabled in, not sure if Fabled Syythrak Hide Vest is anniversary mob or the name of a normal item.

Fabled Dragon Hero Bracer, Incardine Breastplate, Cloak of Flames, Runed Bolster Belt and Jaundiced Bone Greaves are the only items over 125hp. Fabled J-Boots, Pegasus Cloak, Goblin Earring and Obtenebrate Short Sword are the utility items.

Edit : Fabled Insignia Protector and Mana Robe for top items as well, a few 2-handers are 125-150hp range.

So what were the cool items from single-group velious? Was trying to think of stuff worth camping and I can't really think of much noteable stuff from exp group mobs. Willsapper is the only thing that really comes to mind and that wasn't very 1-groupable during Velious. I'm assuming quest stuff like the frostbringer and the Dain Ring, Belt and gloves from T-max, and the Yelinak quest items won't get fabled.

Fabled faction armour would be nice, but I really doubt they will Fable these items liek Brutul said.

As I remember, Velks lab was the only real pickup group area. (Spider or kobold camps) I would guess CC, ToFS are just too low level in general.

Hardly anyone went out (still don't) past Cobalt Scar, but a single group could take out things like tantor.

On other random mobs to take out, there's stuff like the guys in the room behind dain, names in kael arena area, maybe stuff in the pit under dain.

I'd suspect the lesser named from each of the zones, which by today's standards isn't remarkable loot, had some appeal back then.

Groupable mobs I might expect in the following zones, that I hunted back in the velious days as I was levelling:

Iceclad:
-Garou (fabled club?)
-Lodizal (shield?) (probably be raid mob)
-Stormfeather (because of how infamous he is, maybe drop a mask)

Eastern Wastes:
-Cheif Ry'gorr (bp?)
-Firbrand the Black (gaunts/weapon?)
-Oracle of the Ry'gorr (cloak?)

Great Divide:
-Blizzent (Fang?)
-Icetooth (claws/fangs?)
-Shardtooth
-Shardwurm Broodmother
-Shardwurm Matriarch
-Yaka Razorhoof (club?)

Crystal Caverns:
-Foremans (hat, sword?)
-Queen Dracnia (Robes, Sword, Messenger?)
-Ry'gorr Herbalist (Robes, Pack?)

Considering that they Fabled stuff in burning woods and other similar level stuff for kunark (which was almost all green cons), I wouldn't put a lot of stock on level of the zone being an excluder.

I've been wondering the same thing. A little birdie told me that the fabled AoW will be demiplane level, which means the Fabled BoC could be a signficant upgrade to a BBoB. While this would be good for those that got it, I'm sure the (vast majority) warriors who didn't score one in the month of Fabled Velious wouldn't be too happy about it. Could also lead to a lot of fighting over the AoW on servers with multiple high end guilds.

I meant that with the lower level, there probably aren't going to be that interesting stuff dropping off mobs from the other zones. Most of the fabled stuff from past years that didn't come out of higher level dungeons were not that interesting.

I VERY seriously doubt they would make BoC be the fabled item off of AoW, strictly from a PR. If they made a Fabled BoC, it would be War, Sk, Pal, Rng, Brd useable, so it's not worth it. If they do Fabled AoW, it'll be ring, i bet.
