Has anyone had any problems completing this? The first time i zoned into ascent past the gate with the mask on i got a yellow text and the message saying mysterious forces prevent me from finding the yellow trail to the chest. But i do know the trail appears much further up not at the gate.

Anyway i have been to the top 5 times now and never seen any trail, no chests either. Ive not recieved the yellow messge since the first time i zoned thru the gate nor any message at all. I do have the loc but havent been able to find it looking. I have petitioned and /bug reported it and got no help yet.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hail, I managed to own the server Iplay on for a few weeks until there was a patch, reseting the zone so people can proceed with finishing the quest. However I don't believe this the problem with your situation, as the people who tried to spawn the quest so to speak never saw a yellow emote.

What I can tell you is a warrior recently encountered this problem in my guild, he was at first gate, placed mask on and got the emote, moved up top and no chest spawn along with the lack of a yellow path thing. The yellow trail appears right before you begin to move to the very very last arch-way near the top, for some reason I never had a yellow path but the chest spawned for me also(maybe it was because I had a train of about 20 mobs behind me and didn't see it).

If you still have your mask then with all bugs aside you will have a chance to spawn the quest once again without a doubt. I'm thinking most likely the zone seems buggy and if the chest doesn't spawn/get looted for any reason it stops spawning for everyone until a reset.

What seems to be the problem is if anyone tries to complete it and fails, it bugs the server till next patch or zone reset. Sony has this on low priority so dont expect any help from them. Just take a strong group and its an easy clear.

I masked up before I even entered the Ascent, I didn't wait till I got to the gate, and I had no problems. So far, haven't heard of that bug on Maelin.

I never got the emote or the path. But my chest was up there when I got there. I waited till I was close to put the mask on, but doubt that makes a difference.
