Krekk Brimblade Corpse POOF!
Ok, was doing my final battle for the 1.5. Turned in drops, agro'd krekk and got about 3 feet before dying lol. He was pulled to raid, they killed him, he relinquished the sword, I went to loot it and before I could, his body decay'd.
I petitioned and asked wtf only to get "Sorry, here are your items back"... what I wanted to know is if anyone else had this prob. Is it a requirement that I never heard of that I have to survive entire thing or something? Kinda crappy... |

Same thing happened to a warrior in my guild. From what we were told, you have to live thru the event for it to function properly. So every time after that we had another tank set up next to the warrior doing the turn in to take aggro immediately.

A warrior from my guild died on his Krekk raid less than a month ago. He was promptly rezzed after the fight and looted his sword np.

was he rez'd after fight or right before krekk died? I know i got screwed by some kinda bug, but just curious if you could verify whether the warrior was dead at the TIME krekk died

He was not rezzed until we were done. This was less than a month ago.

This bastage really just bugs me lol. It took me about 2 deaths to get this ass to camp last night. Did turn ins again (after SoE gave me back my components). He attacks, I get him almost to the pull spot by ZI before I get raped.
Pull team goes in action, but cant agro him. GRRR. Rez up, go hail him twice, resume chase to pull spot. Once again. I die, we decided they have to chain agro him before I die. Rez/rebuff, try #3. Run out there hail him (with DI this time) and monks tag him right off the bat. After he devours me, he chases the monks back to the pull spot, they battle rez me, i get back on krekk's hate list and splat, loot. So I got it. What a pain in the ass tho lol. That thing is such a bitch. Hes not a tough mob, basicly the same as ikkinz trash. Just getting him to the right spot, grrrr. Anyhow, thank you for the posts ya'll, epic done

We never pulled him. Just clear the area, hail him and kill him where he stands.

*shrug* Just the way we've always done it. Pull him to zonein and pin him down right there. I guess it just made the knockback easier to deal with.
I'm not the strategist, I just look smart. |

If pulling him is so hard though, surely someone needs to review the strat. I've done the encounter 3 times (never as a warrior), and we always cleared his area, hailed him, and just nailed him where he stood, eating the KB. Casters can stand on the walls to alleviate the pain. Have to deal with adds depending on how much you clear. Guild I was in was Time / Ikkinz Raid geared.

If you pull him outside to the tree on the hill you can largely negate the knockback (into the wall) and also avoid a large majority of the adds that you might get in the room when you finish up. I think the adds in the room are the major reason to not do it.

If you have high DPS and get your game plan straightened out before u ever clearing, then start repop should not be an issue. Everytime i have helped with this fight we cleared the room and handed him his ass and killed anything that repopped on his side of the room while doing loot.

Pulling to zone in seems likes its adding an extra layer of difficulty to the encounter. If you clear the entire area hes in, and finish the clearing with the three mobs right on him, you should have him dead before any re-spawns become an issue. Make sure that all are buffed prior to starting clear, and make sure everyone understands that you are going to go in and engage Krekk immediately.

We had the same thing happen .... our warrior died to Krekk and was ressed in after battle and Krekks corpse poofed. Her gear was not the best and a few insisted that she tank her own epic. We came back 2 hrs later did it again to get the epic, this time with one of our regular MTs.
Dont take the chance and die to him just incase. |

if you want to pull him somewhere to deal with the knockback, pull him to the sewers zonein, right behind statue... its easy to pull to there, all u do is setup raid there, then pull the 10ish mobs between there and krekk, then spawn him and run for your life.. u can pull him down easy, and that room is just the right size
