First off Hello all, been a while since I've been around, 2 years actually.

Well this game got it's hooks back into me with the FTP ruse.

Mainly I was wondering what you all do for dps now? Athy and I were talking last night, trying to figure out the difference in dps between our toons, now Athy does have a better sword than Shake. This will cause some of the difference. Shake's Magelo is correct on AA

Shake clocks in at like 3500dps where Athy is around 7k.

Weapons

Athy's Waveshard

Shake's Deroth

Do the last few levels make that much of a difference from 92-95?

Do the DPS AA's since SOD add that much DPS?

There is also the difference between Cleave VIII and Cleave IX and Fero VIII and Fero X.

So what do you think is going to cause the biggest DPS jump, levels, AA, or the Cleave/Ferro

AA and levels multiply whatever your great does. So really the answer is all 3.

Shield specialist, improved shield specialist. You want both. Sword and board is almost always your best dps unless you have a sweet 2her and all the relevant aa's to support it and even then it's close.

I agree with Cowboy that it is all three...
in term of AA you are missing a lot of triple attack and above all a lot of crit mod
in term of gear, you are missing tons of heroic (all dps heroics bellow 100) and mod3s on top of sub-par focii (you have an old cleave, without damage bonus component ... when it first came out, I estimated that a cleave 6-5 would do more damage than a cleave 8-0 and Athy is likely to have a cleave 9-15 or better)
and of course, if you aren't parsing against gray mobs, the lvl difference multiply your base damage difference.

I hadn't noticed the difference in cleave until just now. So they added a base damage mod to cleave since I've been gone.

ISS and SS is maxed, did that as soon as I was told S/B out dpsd DW, which made me sad but any way.

I'll have to fix his gear, hadn't taken the time to update magelo yet he has the rustic gear from VoA Tier 1 now, which has Cleave VII-17.

Thanks guys, was mainly wanting to make sure I wasn't missing some other change that has happened over the years.
