Guard Tulzix - City of Bronze

Hey guys , recently pl'd my warrior and equipped him with almost the best groupable VoA gear. He's sitting at 70khps/ 7.1k ac unbuffed. i've been duo boxing in CoB fairly easily with one healer merc, can even take 2 at a time np using a defensive ability. So this guy Guard Tulzix spawns, and i'm able to hang in there for a while, popped FS and Hold the Line, but before FS wore off I was killed. Attempted him a few times with the same outcome. Looked him up on Allah's says he has a 36k DoT. Now seeing as I don't have an actual cleric in the group or a shaman to spam cures... how would you guys go about this fight?

Toss in mark of the mage hunter to help? Run Armor of EXP? Warlord's Bravery/Tenacity, etc?

yeah was just wondering if i was totally overlooking something. don't have armor of exp unfortunately. would you hit all those off the bat?

looked at mage hunter it'd help but only a couple k off each tick don't think it'd save my life...

Am i just wrong in thinking I should be able to do this with 1 healer merc? buffed i was at 85k hps /8kac

Save flash of anger for when the dot lands on you. That will at least let you avoid melee damage for a tick or so to hopefully offset the DoT.
Mage hunter should help a little. Possibly geomantra, I forget if it works on dots or not.
Warlords resurgence, add a HoT potion.

Beyond that, throw all your dps into burn mode. Alot of named in VoA have some mean effects and you really just need to kill them before they kill you.

T4 named are pretty rough sometimes, I usually alwasy have 2 healer mercs for named mobs and I buff up to +10k HP and 1.5k AC more than you do with 3 boxing (war,mnk,shm). Never needed anything from this named so have never tried him before but depending on 1 healer merc is usually a rough start. What other merc are you using from your other account? Might want to switch to 2 mercs for the named to help with healing DPS is only going to help you if you can kill it before it kills you (which is sounding like what is happening) if you strech the fight out longer but have 2x the healing should beable to pull it off hopefully.

Do you have the Anguish BP? that would be another form of defense you could use to help smooth out the damage once you get to where you can live past FS.

Are you using Scorn instead of Shield topple? the vie is small but every little bit helps.

Forgot to mention Geomantra as well (see my left ear). If it's spell damage that's killing you then as soon as fort lands and you lock aggro start clicking those activateable AA that increase HP etc, suck up spell damage etc. Maybe burn a glyph as well (not sure which one atm but I am sure there is one that might help. Maybe burn Intensity of the Resolute along with Infusion of the faithful. Have heal pots on your potion belt. Maybe get a rune cast on you as well from a friendly enchanter. Perhaps a DI as wll as Reluctant Benevalence from a buddy necro. Stack the deck as much in your favor as you can. GL!

Switch from Hold the Line to Resplendent Glory.

Both are effects to increase the amount of heals landing on you, but Hold the Line decreases your dps output. It could help to shorten the fight a little since it doesn't sound like you have too much dps with your set up. If Resplendent Glory is down, Hold the Line is an option, but I rarely use it unless on a raid where I know my overall dps contribution is minimal compared to my survivability.

Bring a friend with more dps?

Check if there is a stun or knockback as part of the AE. Maybe the merc is too close and getting hit and interrupted which would affect its rate of healing as well.
