If anybody is curious about researching their older task-arc tomes, here is my personal progress history on skill learning:

GM trained @ 75, skill 75. Started practice at level 76.
Oil of Vitrol: 76-102 @ 70 combines
Fine Runic Papyrus Solution: 103-118 @ 40 combines
Parchment Solution: 119-144 @ 66 combines
Fine Parchment Solution: 145-170 @ 99 combines
Vellum Parchment Solution: 171-200 @ 220 combines
Fine Vellum Parchment Solution: 201 - 208 @ 100 combines
Runic Parchment Solution: 209-243 (max practice) @ 252 combines

Attempts: 11 Champion's Aura @ 5 success, skill bumped to 246
Attempts: 6 Bazu Bellow @ 2 success, skill bumped to 247

Combines: 85 @ 367 trivial tome: 21 skillups = 268
Combines: 28 @ 359 trivial tome: 2 skillups = 270
Combines: 15 @ 352 trivial tome: 4 skillups = 274
Combines: 54 @ 355 trivial tome: 4 skillups = 278
Combines: 78 @ 367 trivial tome: 10 skillups = 288
Combines: 22 @ 352 trivial tome: 0 skillups = 288
Combines: 46 @ 367 trivial tome: 2 skillups = 290
Combines: 17 @ 356 trivial tome: 0 skillups = 290
Combines: Aprox 80 @ 352-367 various : 4 skillups = 294
Kinda lost track but estimate aprox 60 tomes: 3 skillups = 297
More loss of track, estimate aprox 50 tomes: 3 skillups = 300

*Note* The veliums/parchments/papers have gotten both rare & expensive. Kinda done except for tome requests from here on.

I also put together a quick-look spreadsheet for tome recipies (all those known to eqtraders and alla's) for the 300 attempt, a read-only public link can be found here http://www.editgrid.com/user/imoloch/tomes.

I think I'm the only melee researcher on Luclin; I have never seen any competition & I keep the prices very reasonable, barely squeezing out a meager profit. I am typically 30-80% cheaper than spells of the same level...yet the component costs to create each are identical. Business is good.

For those wanting detailed info on 1-75 tomes, i've built a spreadsheet for use. It includes recipes (if they are available), links to vendors if purchasable - and links to quests. First off, thanks for the skillup guide. Ive gotten from 0 to 243 in a couple of days using the outline provided.

Im going to be doing Researcher Ceramic Clay from 243 to 262.
Spell Research Components: Drake Wing Webbing, Ink Additive of the Nameless, Ink of Prexus, Quill of the Arcane, Small Block of Magic Clay, Soothing Thickener

Once I hit 262 I will then move on to tome attempts - until then im just banking all the subcombines (have 85 sitting and waiting)

Drake Wing Webbing comes from Drakes in Sunderock. I killed for about an hour and got 20, but was able to find more on the vendors there thankfully. I was also able to scoop up a lot of drake eggs and intestines to use later for baking in the process.

Secondly, have there been any other recipes released with UF besides Brutal RK2?

I found some other melee tome recipes over on EQTC forums, however this was the only other war usable one so that's the reason I only posted that recipe.
