Pillars

OK, looking for some hints on light pillar.

Adds spawn, and beeline for the paladins tanking the two named. It takes an obscene amount of aggro abilities to get the damn things off the paladins, not to mention I have to be standing on top of the add, all the while taking AE ramp damage from the named. Paladins don't have any aggro increase in this pillar, so I think that their heals is causing the huge aggro, because they are incredibly increased in this pillar. One of our pallies is twin casting 90k heals

Any suggestions on what to do with the blinding fragments. Its the only pillar we can't get down.

Only thing I can think of, is to not have paladins tank the named, and let warriors who are severely nerfed in this pillar see what they can do.

Be sure to stack up dps in there to get the fragments down quickly. Stuns and some bard abilities (I can't remember what they are, some shout and some push things around ability) help alot.

That is the hardest pillar for sure. You'll get it, just make sure the other sides get their stuff rock solid because winning white then failing because of another side hurts.

More bards got it While I actually appreciate what the developers were trying to do, with the class enhancements and detriments, if you don't have an optimum raid force, this raid creates lots of challenges.

We are melee dps heavy in light, but dps sucks when blind, and can't find the mob. I wish some class had an AE cure blind spell.

All adds spawn at a specific place near the middle of the room then agro closest and if your quick on hitting agro abilities will stay with you over pallies. If 1 gets to a boss somehow.. FA it back out of there.

We sit one of our spare warriors on that spawn spot and no adds ever go to the people tanking the boss (I say the people... (usually its pallies or warriors but we've used monks before).

Also if you fail more than I think its 2 cures in white your going to fail due to hp lock.. get out and let i reset so you can go again quicker.

making progress on this.

light perfect 1
arcane 1
shadow 2
nature 3

Engage the boss with fort, and it blew right threw it. /sigh. Your opponent strikes through your defenses!

Not sure if its due to one of the aura's being up. Didn't seem to hit through knight deflection.

Got to 50 percent, and basically ran into a brick wall, couldn't out do the regen/rune, which it casts every 70 seconds. Kept it up for 16 minutes or so, before the mob did a massive AE ramp, and spawned two more totems, which wiped us.

Nature crew assures me that they can get a 1 tomorrow. Shadow was almost at a 1, they missed it by 2 percent.

Any more tips. Would really like to get a win on this, this week.

Seriously? WTF SOE?? Possible another disc was up and Fort didn't stick (I wish Fort would always clear the current disc-ya I know there is a way to do this but it seems too gd tedious)? I know it's happened to me more times than I care to remember /sigh Fix it SOE!

I can guarantee that Fortitude was active, checked the logs for its activation message.

He will always hit through fort, just like Fumerak when he's powered up.
Use flash instead.

You sound like you've got it down, you just have to have that run where everything comes together.

Made great progress on this last night. Got boss to 5 percent, before we just ran out of steam. When the wipe occurred, it was back to 12 percent. Thanks for the tips, they have been helpful.

Our next and final attempt, we did poorly on 2 of the pillars, and didn't get the boss to spawn.

Hoping to have this down on Sunday.

And the pillars topple
Our heal crew is outstanding, I tanked it start to finish, despite having the totem spawn right where I was looking, and having no endurance until flash refreshed and I could use it, to get staunch off.
