Best groupable 2hs?

Hi everyone. I've recently returned to the game after a 5 year hiatus. I'm currently level 90 and and pushing for 95 pretty quick. What is the best 2hs and/or 2hb available from VoA group content? I already have my 1handers from CoB and Resplendant Temple, but have not seen many 2handers.

Just curious why? You will almost never equip it. Until they do some class balancing.

I use my current 2hander (best one available in Baz) fairly often as it appears higher dps than my Husk Sharpend Blade and other 1hs (can't remember name, but its 63/23) because I am usually in groups with friends in t4 raid gear.

Do you have better reccomendations for me to use Huggly?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated as the game has changed much since I played 5 years ago.

Kkrunch, where do you swarm kite as a warrior? And how do you do so? lol. I've seen SK's and monks do it, but never a war.

I am guessing he runs around the zone hitting his various ae aggros, pulls all the mob to an area and goes to town?

Silthrix, when you tank or dps, what setups to do you use? I hear that 1hs+shield is just as much dps nowadays. Is that true? Or should I just stick to dual wield.

I always think like the guy getting hit, I just assumed that was the role you are playing.

If you are running around with a group of 95's, and one of them is tanking. By all means maximize your dps.
The rasper's links I provided will give you some options. I don't think there is a t4 group 2HS though.

Work on your sheild specialist AA's, along with all your other DPS based AA, and you will outparse your 2HS with a 1hander, if you have a shield equipped, plus you will be a better tank


As for swarm kiting, I can pull about half of Fort Mech outside the fort with a mercenary on passive, find a corner, equip a 2hander, hit flash, and drop some aggro, when my health gets to about 50, make merc active.
If furious is available, I can pull more, but it takes too long to round them up, diminishing returns. I did this farming mechanotablets for cultural, along with clockwork grease.

Dual wield can be slightly more aggro (proc dependant), but unless you are well geared, will get you chewed up by mobs.

Max out shield specialist, and you will spend 90 percent of your time, with a shield equipped.

Thank you for the taking the time to explain that stuff. I appreciate it. I'm currently 88 on my war sitting around 56-58k hps and around 5400ac unbuffed. Only have 2700ish AA, that was max when I quit, so I do still have a lot of work to do on the AA...was planning on that after hitting 95.

DW is around +40% aggro. it's a huge aggro advantage.

it's only the pletor of disc/AA that let you tank in sword+shield (and also the fact that you can't tank in DW anymore since you will hit the dust).

40 percent. I didn't think it was that high. Seat of the pants analysis tells me otherwise.

I would have thought it to be more in the 20 percent range. Perhaps because group fights have gotten so much shorter, compared to a couple of years ago.

DW+FORT when you can prep for it and know what's coming.
S&B+FORT when the shit hits the fan and you are next up. But really S&B is about 24/7 unless you are expecting it these days. Once FORT drops, FS+S&B (hopefully lag doesn't prevent the /bandoleer command).

I don't think I have ever had /bandoleer on a hotbutton, triggered by pushing a key on the keyboard, fail due to lag. Clicking with the mouse however, can be a different story.

Having said that, and getting off topic. I used to lag horribly. So much so that I could barely tank. I remember once on last 20 percent of Fippy, mob was dead, my screen still showed 15 percent health. Absolutely no idea how I held aggro.
Once I removed every single in-game audio trigger, and switched to GTT or GINA (external audio trigger programs), I never have lag anymore, even while parsing on a full burn. That is, unless my raid goes swarm pet crazy. But we have pretty much banned that. The EQ audio trigger routine must be horribly inefficient.

I'm running the same system for the last 3 years or so. Quad core Intel, with 4gig ram, and an ati5770 video card.

Aye just cleared out tons of old AT the other day since my AT file was adding spaces at the end every time I logged off, causing some not to fire ><
Wish SOE would fix some bugs once in a while /sigh
