I thought Snow Shite and the Huntsman was lame also. My wife and daughter liked it though.
MIB3 was ok, nothing great.

I hadn't heard about the Blade Runner sequel. Will have to look into it.

The trailer for the new Total Recall remake look good. I'm looking forward to it.

Trailer for Skyfall the new Bond movie, at the beginning of MIB3 was underwhelming. I hope they have a better one soon.

Prometheus was VERY good. I highly recommend it. My wife is not a sci-fi fan and she enjoyed it. Great twist in the plot of the movie I thought. Go see it Yoda!

So.. ya.. can we all agree now this has so far been an absolutely horrible summer for movies? Avengers was fine... beyond that...?

Prometheus and the Space Jesus was a fairly horrid attempt by obvious athiests at fusing religion with science. Just a horrid film as presented. Its fine if you don't bother to think about it or understand what they were getting at. I doubt very seriously it will get any better with the extended cut when they elaborate on how they wanted to kill us because we crucified Jesus the Engineer.

Really not much more until Amazing Spider-man and TDKR. And ASM still has a ways to go but at least the trailers look like it has some potential. Brave just seems like an estrogen fest. Rock of Ages like a male estrogen fest. And there isn't really much inbetween that screams Go See. Maybe there will be a sleeper that nobody was expecting hit... but its largely just hurry up and wait on anything good.

Ya latest trailers from Spiderman look pretty good. At least he is closer to the comic this time around. TDKR looks epic. I hope I have not built it up too much in my mind.

So.. now that The Dark Knight Rises has come out and officially s**t the bed... can we all agree this has been an absolutely atrocious year and summer for movies? We got one bonified blockbuster in the form of The Avengers and one dark horse in Ted which was actually pretty good. Even Pixar fell on its face with a movie that rivals Song of the South for racism. Hopefully The Hobbit at the end of the year salvages something.

Man I was hoping to have been ultimately wrong, I honestly don't like not having good movies to go see, but there is just no justifying this :<.
