good point, I didn't notice the artifact tag. If I recall during server marge they were even pushing on over server accounts with artifact items when there were already someone with the same artifact on the final server.

It's not the tag. Originally there were 1 per server, of each artifact, though, after several rounds of mergers and allowing character transfers, the 1 per server rule has gone out the window. For example: there are at least 2 Aegis of the Valient (tofs event artifact shield) on FV, so the tag alone doesnt prevent one from moving anywhere.

I feel your pain... however, you have to look at it from this perspective:
GM01 (the first GM you worked with) decides to let you transfer this item off FV (where items are buyable that are no trade on other servers). You post something on a forum thanking the GM for his customer service and detailing what happened and how happy you are for this amazing service. SneakyPlayer03 reads this and thinks to himself... "Hmm, self. If he can get this item transferred off, why can't I use this example to buy raid gear/tokens on FV and get it transferred to my main?" SneakyPlayer03 then does just that. GM03 is unable to refuse the request due to the previous example setting a precedent. EQ economy and gaming landscape changes forever or new rules are implemented to control this. Yes, it's taken to the extreme, but not that far really. That being said. Their whole idea of "keep pushing and we will punish you!" mentality is terrible and deserves this rant. |

Easy enough to avoid that though, I don't post anything, problem solved. Keep in mind too, they have done this for me once before, so I guess that KIND of makes me sneakyplayer03, though Im not really doing anything to enhance my characters, but rather put my collection together in one place.
Yes, I'm still really pissed at how I was treated, asking for clarification and offering supporting evidence, and being told that if I do it again, we'll suspend/ban you. It's like saying "we're too lazy to do the jobs we get paid to do, or you're right, we're wrong, but we dont want to admit it so we're going to blow you off, and silence you via threats, even though people like you are the sole reason we have jobs, and get paid, but we're going to hide behind the big bad Sony company, and claim internal regulations that can change at any time, and you cant see them prevent us from complying." THAT, I have a problem with, when I've paid to play this game for 13 years. |

Several people posted on eqforums saying how SOE double-charged them on some transactions and chose to simply suspend those accounts when they wanted those problematic transactions reversed/nullified.
One guy posted how Deodan (same guy who banned me from giving a surname on my bot account without the courtesy of a reach-around) suspended his account for a very minor infraction and threatened to perma-ban him if he tries to escalate the issue to someone higher up. All of his threads complaining about this got locked pronto. The mindset of SOE these days is "you have problems? fuck you pay me". There is no customer service anymore, just a bunch of bottom-feeders passing themselves off as CS while abusing their power as if they're members of the John Gotti crime family. Not even the dead Steve Jobs ever goes this low on his followers. |

It appears sony's CSR is nearly as bad. Not sure everyone is aware, but Diablo 3 accounts are being hacked like crazy, using some method of in game keylogging or a loophole that is giving players utilizing the exploit the ability to read a players login info and then clean out their account. This happened to me today, and I submitted a support ticket saying as much. this was, unedited, the reply i received:
Howdy there! I'm hoping this message I put together for you helps make the trail blazing a bit easier. I understand you wish to report that your Diablo 3 Account has been compromised and you have lost items and gold. I do see that there was unauthorized access to your account. We can help, and we will - if you want us to. But before I recover anything that happened, you need to know something about how we investigate compromised accounts for Diablo III: With the anticipation of the Real Money Auction House, we are taking account security very seriously since real money is involved. We don’t' want items to be reproduced, we are only giving players TWO restorations (and these restorations can ONLY happen due to an account compromise) ever. One BEFORE you have an authenticator and - if you never get an authenticator, that will be the only one - and one AFTER you receive an authenticator. The idea is that once you place an authenticator on your account, there will never, ever be a need for a second restoration, because your account will actually be secure. If we recover your account and you don't place an authenticator on your account, you WILL be blocked from the Real Life Auction House until you place an authenticator on your account. Fortunately, if you have a smartphone, authenticators are a free app you can download. If you don’t have a smart phone, authenticators are only $6.50 US from the Blizzard store (we sell these at cost and make no money from selling them). If you are NOT confident in your computer security, I recommend you getting an authenticator on your battle.net account immediately and follow our security check list found at <http://us.battle.net/en/security/checklist>. Please be aware you WILL lose all the progress you’ve made since the compromise if we do process the restoration. If you use this one-time sans-authenticator restoration, we will NOT be able to restore your account ever again until you place an authenticator on your account. Do you want us to restore your account for you now? TL;DR VERSION (although please read everything anyway): We are only issuing one restoration per account if you don't have an authenticator on it. Please consider what you have lost, since your account is really new and young you might want to save your compromise restoration for later. ****PLEASE be very clear if you would like us to go ahead and restore your account or not**** Please also review the following Support Article concerning compromises: http://us.battle.net/support/en/arti...lo-iii-account If the varmints are still on your trail, or you got another question for the ol' Rathskenare, you come on back now - just hit "Need More Help", and we'll be back in a jiffy ![]() From the *Quickest GM in the West*, I wish you Happy Trails, Game Master Rathskenare Customer Support Blizzard Entertainment www.blizzard.com/Support And my reply: Yes, please restore everything. That being said, it does seem a little ridiculous that you limit the amount of restores available per account, even further so without paying $6.50 for an authenticator that didn't come with the game upon shipping, when you knew beforehand that security flaws were a possibility. I did not ask to be hacked when I went ahead and bought this product, and I don't feel that it's right to penalize your paying player-base with limited restores, when the blame is squarely on your company's shoulders for selling a game that has security flaws in it. |

Ouch Suurge. I've been lucky so far I guess (though I do have an authenticator). Course, I spend all my gold so they wouldn't get much anyways :P

Quite the contrast with MMoRPG's. EVE toyed with the idea of putting game affecting items in their cash shop. The result was (predictably) the unsub/Jita protests and a 20% of their staff layoff. "Bust the deal, face the wheel." SOE doesn't want to be seen as breaking the FV deal - stuff enters, no stuff leaves. It's more like saying, you know what the rules are. You got lucky once which does not entitle you to get lucky again. Be a pita customer and you'll be escorted out of the store. I don't call enforcing the rules bad customer service. I am however well aware other people see things, or say they do, differently. I'm glad yer having fun with the bow. ------------ This guy gets into the habit of bumming a cigarette every day when I get off the commuter rail at the station. One day I point the opening of a pack at his hand and 2 cigarettes pop out. The next day I carefully take one cigarette out of the pack and hand it to him. "Hey", he says, "yesterday you gave me two." "And tomorrow and every day thereafter I'll be giving you zero.", says me. <- tru story

I've had a great experience with them lately, and always tbh. They helped me when they didn't need to for something I fucked up myself. Their CS has been stellar to me but I'm sorry you're having the issues you're experiencing in EQ.

You are on FV, your ill gotten loot will not transfer as tools on that server spend RL cash for items that you can't get on other servers.
