Making a warrior! looking for some advice.

So basically when choosing race the most important thing is CHA and unstunability. The only question I have about this is just how important is the stun thing. Do you warriors who are not ogres have problems with stun or is it nothing more than a minor inconveniance?

If you've played an ogre, it's really hard to go back. Non-ogres say it's not a big deal. If they can survive, you can survive. I'd suggest... Having fun.

It's a minor inconvenience until you get stalwart endurance. Then it's totally meaningless.

Honestly, because you can see the numbers so it feels like a bigger improvement. I wouldn't argue with any order between nd/ca/cs 1-3's though.

Good point, you'd be just fine getting PE anytime in there after you get nd/ca/cs 1 each I'd say.

So true...pre-kunark when the Morell Thule server opened I created a dorf warrior there and had a lot of fun but I would literally swear at the screen every time I got stunned. I had no idea it happened so much from being used to Lab's unstunability.

if you want best bang for your buck ... kill the frog and choose a race that can worship rallos zek for the cultural armor. in the end, it wont matter much, but getting TO the end will be so much easier.


i would give my left nutsack to have played something other than a vah shir so i could capitalize on this. imo i would go with either a gnome or a halfling that worships RZ. otherwise, you will end up forking over several hundred thousand pp to find gear comparable. (ornate is damn expensive ... and so are all the lil offslots of you want + hps/ac). if i hadnt had to waste all that plat and time on ornate armor, i would have my RZ helmet and a few other buyable goodies (acid bracers??) by now.

i went with a gnome war myself, what cultrual u talking about? i am RZ diety cause i heard it was good. also, where is the best place for a 60 druid to pl a warrior? he is right now lvl 1.

I made a wood-elf warrior who worships Karana a long time ago. I have ended up as a bazaar warrior (no time for raiding) and kick myself daily for it.

Make a RZ worshipper. Your life will be much easier for it. =/

If I could do it all over again (PL'd) I'd make a dark elf and put all the starting stats into CHA. At the time I started out though, I made a human (Freeport was easy to navigate) and put most into STA/STR/DEX, altho they're blind, humans are a fine choice and level quickly.

If I were PLing a war with a decent pling class (druid is the best in the beginning, then shaman, IMO):

1-5: orc hill, Gfay (or crushbone belts)
5-10: Crushbone
10-18: Unrest
18-24: Paludal
24-29: Mars Seru
29-37: Overthere
37-40x: Dreadlands, Crystal Caverns, Karnor's, Velks
46+ PoP exp.

If you know you can get better than cultural, go with whatever race you feel like. If you'll have trouble getting ornate, I'd go with an RZ or Tribunal worshipping class. Good luck.

Powering:

Use a druid to 44:
1-14 or so kurns tower
14-20 or so paludal
20-26 or so sol a
26-44 ... I used to use droga but no more...

44-65 group with 65s and get an ae group.

I powered a friends cleric from 1-65 in under 1.5 days played.

With a druid powerleveller, 26 would be a terrific time to go to TOFS. Obscene XP there since it became a hotspot. On 2nd floor you'll never run out of mobs.

Paw is also a hotspot usable at 26, but the mobs there are too spread out.

Hmmm.....Id go either Gnome ( Great Roleplayin and ppl seem to love em ) , Same goes for halfling.....for looks and uniqness go for Woof elf or Dark elf.....and worship RZ ....my warrior was twinked to shit at 1 ( Sod and boc ) and i choose Dark elf over halfling cause with de i can roleplay and they look so uber in armor..but halfiing do have exp bonus so helps, so those my choices for races ( gnome, de , wood elf or Assling )

Delete your warrior.
Remake him using RZ as a basic Diety (Cultural is a HUGE bonus for a long time).

Mosquito Earrings x 2 (cheap & Decent HP)
Valorium Rings x 2 (cheap & Decent stats)
Neck : Fierce Heraldic (could be something better dunno)
Mask : Fierce Heraldic , Then grab the one from Sewers (Barindu)
Helm : Fierce Heraldic (Really nice helm)
Bracers x 2 : Fierce Heraldic (you wont find better for a LOOOOONG time)
Gloves : Fierce Heraldic (Totally kick ass)
Arms : Fierce Heraldic , Then grab the ones from Sewers (Barindu)
Pauldrons : Fierce Heraldic
BP : Fierce Heraldic (Probably the best dropable BP, cost vs stat wise)
Cloack : Cloack of Flames OR LDoN Mistmoore Droppable
Belt : Fierce Heraldic OR RBG
Legs : Fierce Heraldic (Totally kick ass)
Boots : Fierce Heraldic (Totally kick Ass)
Weapons : Copper Hammer & Sword of the Bloodsworn
Range : Some kind of Cheap bow
