War Marshal's or Meljeldin??

I start train 2HS up and used:
War Marshal's Bladed Staff Dmg 31, delay 28
2HS, STR +9, AGI +9, DEX +9, Sv. Pois +5, Sv. Dis +5, HP +50

Now I got from NToV dragon Cekenar:
Meljeldin, Bane of Giants Dmg 45, delay 38
2HS, STR 10, STA +10, AGI +20

I'm atm lvl 58 Ikky warrior.
What is better for DPS?
And what is better for aggro holding?
Or still better for aggro dual-wielding my Wavecrasher + Frostbringer/Snowchipper ?

The War Marshall's Staff does 6% more damage than the bane, so stick with the staff. I'd say the stats are even superior on the staff itself.

43/38 with 100 hp and 50 AC and a nice proc.

The War Marshall's Staff does 9% more damage than the Gaudralek, the only thing that might close the gap is the proc, but that's a shot in left field. The 50 AC is nice though.

I would guess a lot of that has to do with the damage bonus not scaling up in a linear fashion. The higher the AC of the mob, the better the 28 delay weapon is.

Hehe Gaudralek procs a lot.
Not to mention i take 50 raw AC over a 9% damage advantage any day.
Not to mention Gaudralek is on the list for 2hs agro weapons for a reason while the other 2 arent.

Ok, I got a twisted steel bastard sword (52/45), a Meljeldin (45/38), and a great staff of the four winds (41/31). My parser doesnt pick up the proc on the staff for DPS purposes.

Parsing those - the two swords parse about the same consistantly and the staff about 10-15 more. Actual numbers depends on the mob and circumstances obviously - but 31/28 doesnt sounds anywhere close to 41/31 - and the 41/31 usually gives about 10% DPS more (I get 80-150 dps on the staff - yea, its that variable depending on mob, if Im fighting from the front, buffs, etc).

Anyway - that all amounts to shit since I dont have a war marshall's staff to do parsing with. But all I hear here is just a statement - have you actually done any parsing?

Not that it matters to me - use whatever you wish.

Sleight hijack...

I love my Gaudralek. I started using it over willsapper / red epic and have never gone back. Even before I got punishing blade it blew the 1 hander combo away in aggro. Now with punishing blade, ferocity + flurry mobs stick to me like glue.

Does anyone know WHY Gaudralek has so much aggro? The proc seems to draw a lot more attention than the 179dd would imply. Does the fact that its unresistable cause more aggro?

Proc has a knockback component that mobs really hate :)

It's the stun portion of the proc that makes em mad. Stun duration is only 0.0 but the duration of the stun doesn't seem to figure in the agro. Besides, if you ever xp'd in Mistmoore and Unrest when you were a youngun, you probably got upset when you got force struck too :)

Decrease Hitpoints by 133 (L1) to 179 (L24) is only effect listed.

BUT below:

That explains it. I knew it didnt stun things because you get the immune message when that goes off against unstunnable stuff (know that from using Maelstrom). But i've also seen pulling stuff that a swipe with proc will sometimes interrupt casting.
