Where do I go from here?

thank you all for any advice in advance.


I have been playing my Ogre Warrior for about a year now and finally and I should ding 51 tonight. This is my first char. to reach AA level.


What should I should concentrate on at first? I thought RUN 3 because I am tired of begging for a SoW every time but I came to the conclusion that it will only help me when running for my life.

Also does it take as long to get 1 AA point as it does to go up 1 level? I've heard different things on this...

Finally I'm not sure what kind of AC/HPs I should have at level 51 -Here is my gear (http://www.magelo.com/eq_view_profile.html?num=536963)

Any sugestions are appreciated - I have managed to farm 10k in a year I can spend on upgrades, not much but thats all I got.

The amount of experience it takes to get one aa is roughly the amount of experience needed to get level 51, iirc. So for you getting AAs at this point is going to take a while. I would forget any aas, including run speed, untilyou get at least 55 and defensive, and probably until you get 60. As you get higher levels and AAs get easier to collect, I'd pick them up then, even run speed.

When you find a good spot where you can get steady groups and your tanking things without to much risk. Go all out AA for awhile. Problem with all out AA is when you die alot your regular exp just keeps going down. The problem I've seen discussed with all out reg exp is that you can get to a place where you cant get steady groups and your getting killed alot, but you really need those AAs now.


As for your hps and ac, all i can say is that you're doing alot better then me gear wise.

SoW potions are not that expensive and getting 3 aa might mean a few levels which would allow getting aa faster. So the question I would ask is... are you inside enough to justify spending time doing aa?

as you go up in levels your groups will be able to have chances at better loot. I'd advise you level up first then go for AAs since its way faster to get AAs when you are able to kill much higher level mobs but still have to fill up only that muxh xp. One AA is roughly is as xp from 50-51. Run 3 is very very usefull AA thought so you may want to get it now.

From my experience, having done a couple of aa from levels 51-55...get the levels first. Having level 56 is going to help much more than run3 when you're tanking things in Droga to get your CHOS. =^_~=

Also for your gear, I'd replace the cobalt as soon as you can. The AC is nice and clickies are helpful but I'd prefer to have something with some stats on it. Velious arms would be good, depending on how you're aligned. Champs Vambs are short 1 on AC but have a bunch of stats that are well worth the loss. If your guild has enough people to play in Umbral Plains that's where my boots came from. Moktor Boots are 21 AC, so not too short of Cobalt, but with 10STA 2WIS and 15 to FR/MR.
