Dranik Loyalist faction sucks. I'm up to indifferent, which I think means I'm about halfway there. At least I can do 20+ at a time in DS, which means I only have about 100 more such pulls to ally. Three pieces of Anguish visible armor waiting for me when I get there, so at least that's some decent motivation.

If you can pull like that, what are you doing messing around with COA armor for? get warped steel, then the steam cores. Once in crystallos static zone get elemental essences (earth is wicked easy) and you'll have armor far and above COA. Or is this the "hold-me-over gear"

At this point I'm thinking I'll probably try to jump from Anguish to SoD tier 3. It's much faster than factioning for coring and essencing, getting the drops, getting the gear, etc.

... I just got 70, and am progressing through the 'good' tanking AAs at each level before moving upwards, so if I'll be here a while, I might as well have some of the best gear available at 70.

Edit: and pulling 20 in Dranik's scar is not exactly impressive :)

Pulling 20 was impressive back when I was 70 but you are outfitted in mostly post-omens gear.

I PL'd my bard from level 18 when he got his AE dmg song to level 53 in about 6 hours pulling like that in Dranik Scar.

Set up near the BF zoneline and would clear the whole area there in a single pull, then would move down the hill and clear out the NC zone line area grabbing anything I could. Put two CHA mugs in each hand loaded up with DS and let the bard sing and the mobs impale themselves, might be a faster way to PL, but his faction was great after that lol.

There were a few times where I was overanxious on the AE song, but it wasn't to hard. Just waited till the mobs were all around 50% before I started.


Only needed to do 1 pt. of damage with the bard to get all the XP. AE song doesn't do much more than that when it isn't resisted :p

Yuck. Don't remind me how bad that was, one of the very few moments where I had to shoot anything that moves to grind faction. I'm not level 85 right away since grinding XP is just plain boring.

K...just wasn't sure since DS'es don't generate additional hate, so I had no idea how much hate you'd actually have on warrior. I guess the initial agro hate value isn't horrible then.

I was able to powerlevel a cleric, using the 300point pbae spell they have, just by aggroing everything I could find (proximity aggro) in Grieg's End and chaining big DS'es on my magician to level 62 with 250aa's.

I never had a problem with hate really if I waited until the mobs were at 45% health. Just move the toon in there, cast PBAOE and watch the timer as soon as it goes off (not even when it reports the damage but as soon as the spell timer is done) move the toon back out of the way, you might get hit a few times but it's a non-issue really.

Finally made it to ally - whew!

Now I need to keep pounding away at AMV until I get some legs and/or a BP (though I'd probably give the BP to my necro first).
