Metal Gear 4

anyone pick this up yet if how is it. i heard it was shit from someone and then i read about it in a that gave it 10/10 and 9.5 out of ten.

It's basically a love letter to the fans of Metal Gear, so I've really enjoyed it. If you didn't like the previous games, if you weren't interested in the story or the like, then you definitely should play it before buying it. You may like it, you may think it's rubbish - most who play it have a strong opinion of the game, whether that's positive or negative.

I liked Metal Gear for PS, loved the Sons of Liberty, could have done without Snake Eater, and so far I love the fourth. I'm currently at the start of Act III though and it's so fucking drawn out and boring..... but I heard it gets better again soon.

But yeah like Isk said, if you liked the others to any degree pick them up. I think IGN got trigger-happy with a 10.0 because there are definately things that are missing. I would have loved to see a Theater Gallery so I could see the cinematics without playing through the game again, and the framerate does drop a lot when a lot of stuff is going on. Other than that it's great!

big fan of the whole series, got out the old NES and replayed em all from the start before mgs4 came out.

currently on act 4, damn work keeps cutting into my play time, and really like the new one so far. the dream sequence at the start of the action of act 4 had me laughing~

Act 4 was seriously badass. I've got to say that this is my favorite MGS game, it's got almost everything. I'm going through again trying for a no-kill game.
