Hi guys, I am turning to you for some constructive advice. We have farmed the hell out of TOB and the mini's drop rather easily for us with a decent force of 24 or so. I am going to toss in the muses into the mix as well--kind of a last fight of the night for my TOB runs. We tried Maestro for the hell of it on our first attempt and got him to 60 or so percent which I was pleased with. However, does anyone have any idea which muse is easiest to start with? Thanks a lot!

With 24 people? No idea. Certainly not Gnarlibramble. I hate him. A lot.

Ya most plant mobs are a bitch since POR...

Vasella would actually be pretty easy if there's like say, 1 melee character out of the 24 you have and rest are all casters of some sort. If not, Maestro is probably the easiest.

LOL OK Phantron--We are actually pally heavy so that's good advice. I will avoid that mob. Do you have any Maestro strat then? What percent do his adds spawn, etc?

I believe his adds are all just % based and since you only have 24 trying to kite/OT them while burning down the Maestro is probably out of the question, so I can't think of anything fancy beyond just killing everything and outlasting him. With level 75, trying to resist his AE might not be as futile as it once was.

as much as I hate hate hate the trip down there, the easiest mini in ToB imo is Gnarlbramble. Just make sure the adds dont get absorbed and people know how to stand up after FD....

the trash down to Gnarl is just a cruel joke by a dev though imo

Gnarlibramble i wouldnt even attempt with 24. With kiters doing their thing. They fail and you guys wont have the dps to keep ahead of him absorbing one. Try the one in the courtyard...Vasella.

If I recall correctly Vasella is undead so if you are pally heavy, that will be good with slays and their ability to heal the group when they take the AE DD.

Melees just get slowed 90% and eat an extra unresistable AE (the big AE is now relatively easier to resist thanks to level 75) while contributing about 20 DPS on Vasella. If there's some point your healers doesn't need to be busy healing someone, they'd do more DPS by nuking Vasella as opposed to healing not to mention curing someone who is slowed into uselessness. If you want to add melees you need to have really good disciplines like they only get healed or cured if every caster is already healed to full because otherwise you're just wasting mana that could have been used to heal someone that could do way more damage.

Mastro is by far the easiest next to valik who's basically a dps fight. Only replied cause we did this event just last night.

Once mastro was dead we did something diffrent that we've never done before use the chime aa to just evac everyone to zone ( i imagine that aetl can be used also), and just head back his adds despawn after a short period or can have an fd'er move em. That might help with low numbers having to fight adds after named is sorta taxing.

We did the chime evac once maestro was dead. There were atleast 20 or so mobs up when we evac'd srry don't really remeber exactly But of those 20 at least 15ish are mezzable and rest have to be kited by knights.

when we did this the first time we tried the mezzing route, unfortunately - and this is key - the number of mobs you get that are really mezzable IS random. We got Maestro down to >10% when we wiped, can't remember the exact figure.

We killed him on the second attempt (bear in mind this is when we have to keel stuffs off the wall because of the dumb geometry collision bugs). What we did is have all warriors tank Maestro and have everyone else other than the tank-healing clerics on the adds.
