100 Avoidance, No raids required

I finally hit the 100 avoidance cap without a single raid loot(well no raid items that give avoidance anyhow). You might not be impressed but I was pretty happy with it. Time to work on the shielding cap =)

The missing 15 avoidance is on the rare trash mob drop in Relic. 65 hp/mana/end 15 avoidance. It is supposed to be on my Borso's prized earring but it isn't showing up yet for some reason.

You are not required to pay any money to view my war's gear. You don't even have to log in. The monthly fee only applies to those that want to display their gear not those that want to see it. I know that Magelo is superior to EQplayers, but I am lazy. I never maintained a Magelo for my warrior and never posted a profile up to this point. When EQPlayers came out I went ahead and spent the extra money on my warriors account and have added it to my sig. I never paid for my necro's account but I linked him anyways. You can see his stats and to some degree his gear but you can't check any specifics on what he's wearing. I also realize that EQplayers is way buggy. But the more folks that use it and report errors the more fixes will come.

You can max avoidance with no raid gear easy... but your AC and maybe HP will sufer. Meaning the avo is on non tank gear.
High AC+HP+Avo comes from raid gear only.
Anyway.. I cant see the gear of the original post but I`m talking in general.

It's sad though. There is no reason that Magelo can hack their formulas and collect the item database using volunteers and build the whole thing for free, but Sony who already has all the formulas and databases puts out this crap and charges $2 a month for it. I mean really, why would you make a profile that doesn't display things like Avoidance? If Sony was going to go to the effort of making this webpage, they should have at least made it better than the free fan sites or it's a waste of time.

BTW you can autoupdate on Magelo too if you're willing to pay $12 a year and although it's not always up, it seems more reliable than EQplayers.

Good job on 100 avoidance though, I am really weak on that myself.

I generally avoid MMs, but this has grabbed my interest. I did a quick search on ally and don't see any info on it. Anymore info you could throw out for this? It seems too good for just a chest drop in a MM. Unless these 3 MMs are 'really' difficult.

is avoidance a linear progression? Is it possible to extrapolate the reduction in damage from 100 avoidance? (I notice some of that is tied to gear, which screws up results I assume, but ballpark)

10 avoidance = 1% extra chance to not be hit. So if you're being hit 50% of the time to start with, 100 avoidance = 20% DPS reduction.

Hmm, that seems awfully good, on retrospect. Am I missing something or is avoidance that powerful?

I tank noticeably better in ikk4 and uqua then simarly hp/ac geared wars with less avoidance. I have loved every point of avoidance I have gotten. I only join those raids as a guest from time to time so I can't compare to any other encounters.

Thanks mucho for posting this, especially the item-by-item breakdown. Gives me some real clear ideas about upgrades to shoot for to increase my very weak avoid. That cloak is very enticing... Now I just need $150 to buy the family a round of PoR expasions!

You have to keep in mind that some of the items are harder to get then others. Without a raid force backing me up, every piece I wear had a few stepping stones before it before I was able to tank the content to get the current pieces. All of my gear is one groupble(the furious jailor items and the epic 1.5 are argued as one group encounters by some, but will usually take a group of folks who would end letting the loot rot or go to twinks), but not just any 'one' group can obtain them.
