Where does the suffix "of the Truthbringer" come from?

Found this while screwing with my title.

Our first guess was a Seru kill a while back, but I am the only one from the raid with the suffix.
Does it come with the Sword of Truth?
Cant find it anywhere on the web :(

all of the three suffix you have avaible are after some gods, so I would first look after it. Did you perform some quest with some of those gods ? did you perform any server transfert ? afteraal karana is your server, I don't with whom it has been merged but it may explain at least another one suffix (maybe both), and then a server transfert would explain the last....

I have Seru's sword aswell, but dont have that title, so its not that atleast :p

it was said in my guild that if you are max ally to either Knights of Truth or the Freeport Militia, you get the new suffixes of "of the Truthbringer" or "of the Militia".

i'm personally ally with Knights but don't have new suffix. Might be something to be opened by some quest?

edit : just checked on my druid bot - he's got the suffix of Truthbringer and he's ally with knights.

I had this suffix but after the patch it's gone. Still ally with the good guys of freeport though so no clue. Anyone still have this suffix?

You need to hail the NPC outside freeport to get it back. There was a thread on the EQLive boards earlier. Hail the guy that they put in to tell you your faction, and that should make the suffix available again.

If you have Max Ally faction with the Knights simply Hail Erling Elsai in Freeport West for your title. Hail Reidar Elsai in North Ro if you are max all with the Militia for your title there.

Quest: "of the truthbringer"

Completed on March 16th/2006

NPC = Erling Elsai in West Freeport

Hail him. Go through the text. Tells you to talk to Neas Lavati in West Free Port. When you are done he says he'll give you a reward if you hook his people up.

Head over to Neas Lavati in WFP. Go through text. He'll instruct you to do a mission for him called "My Precious". (Make sure YOU are the person that acquires the mission)

"My Precious"

Takes place in EFP. Instance is at the Militia House near NRO zone line. Duo'd most of it with a druid. The NPC's that respawn didn't agro me eventhough they conned scowling. Could be a bug /shrug. Open the chest, Hail the imprisoned gnome. Find the 2nd chest upstairs. Open that and loot the treasure. Return the treasure to Neas Lavati in WFP. At this point you should have recieved a message regarding Faction hits. After this head back to Erling. Hail him. He should say something to the effect of thanks and enjoy your trinket of appreciation.

Check your Suffixes in the title screen and it should be there.

I'm not sure if I had great faction to begin with and if the mission put me over the faction hump OR if the mission itself is required for the title. What I do know is that after I did the mission I got my suffix so i think the suffix is tied to the mission itself.

Once you zone into WFP. The mob is on the wall if you head towards EC a bit. If you just hug the outside wall you really can't miss it.


Also the mission mentioned above isn't required for the title. I simply repeated an easy quest to raise my faction. Though it took a while, it beats killing Militia guards.

I looked about, could nae find him, clicked the "Find" button and sure enough, Erling Elsai's name was on there, clicked it and followed the trail *L*

For me I just hailed him and poof! Had my suffix back

well, im an ogre . . do you think its possible still to obtain either of these titles ( of the militia, of the Truthbringer) and if so, which would be easiest? Can both be done? And what is the easiest/best way to up either of these factions. Sorry for all the questions, but it seems very few have this title, and it'd be cool to have something unique.

All it took for my faction was to hail him, I chalk this up to slaughtering Sgt Slate in E Comms a baziliion times when I was a wee warrior.

ok, finally got "of the Truthbringer" once knights faction "cannot get any better". Both the Elsai brothers (WFP and nro) con ally to me . .yet my militia faction (which i assume the nro brother is on, since his faction has always been behind the WFP guys in terms of progression) . . . ive gotten like 10 more + militia hits from giants, even while the nro guy cons ally . . and im still not max ally . .im wondering if its impossible to have both max ally at the same time? or . . i dunno . . driving me nuts though . . any ideas?

Have completed Giants in the Desert task 78 times . . 35 x 15 giants per = 525 giants. I think im going out of my mind with this faction crap . . im max ally with SIX of the 7 freeport factions, as an ogre. Founnd this task:

last night which gives the same + hits, and i assume the same size (hit max ally w/ 3 of the 6 doing this) but you can farm it UCH faster since caimens pop like mad. Can do the task every 5 mins or so, for + hits to all FP factions. I'm REALLY wondering if its possible to be max to knights o truth and militia at the same time . . i guess they hate each other, so it'dmake sense if that was the case, however . . you'd think the faction (militia) would cap at some point . . . maybe they forgot to program a maximum faction value? ugh . . any mobs on PURELY militia action that i can hail to check faction? Thx

I've seen some GM events that reward you with a title. I think one of the lvl 1 gnome events not long ago awarded a really cool title. (and an ubah Mask w/illusion gnome : )

Anyone else think it's kinda bogus that you're able to max both Knights of Truth and Freeport Militia?

That's like oldschool dragons, dwarves and giants stuff there. Kinda ruins the whole point of the factions if you can be friendly to everyone.

If you do some of the other faction missions ("My Precious" and "Wanted" -- something like that) you get the normal competing faction hits. The wanted one is kind of strange storyline (for the faction hits) as you're going around killing off paladins who've seen your face and tearing down wanted posters, but it doesn't "fix" your truthbringer faction.

The precious one is in the militia house, and it's pretty quick and easy, although I don't know what all the chest rewards are (we got silk pants I think the one time we did it).
